Knowlton Mansion
Knowlton Mansion is a three-story Gothic Revival style mansion built in 1881, the Gilded Age, by renowned architect Frank Furness for wealthy Philadelphia banker William Rhawn.
Over the years, the mansion changed hands and purposes several times, and at one point, was almost marked for demolition. Conroy Catering bought the property in the 1990s and restored it to it former glory, adding in a grand ballroom for large events, like weddings.
When you arrive at Knowlton, take the time to take in the lush gardens and the breathtaking exterior - the wraparound porch, the stone pergola, as well as the beautifully restored interior - the Victorian parlor, stained glass windows, grand staircase, and stone wine cellar. Be sure to save some energy for dancing, though!
