Frequently Asked Questions

  • The dress code is Cocktail/Semi-Formal.

    The event is taking place on Halloween, but we request that guests over the age of 12 refrain from wearing costumes. Children 12 and under can wear costumes if they wish, or dress in semi-formal attire.

    For the ladies, this means you can wear a shorter dress (think midi dress) or a longer dress in whatever color or pattern you would like.

    For the gentlemen, this means suit and tie, but you aren’t limited to just dark colors and simple shirts and ties.

    Fall is a season full of rich colors and jewel tones, so don’t be afraid to play with color!

  • The ceremony will be at 4:30pm on Saturday, October 31st 2026 at Knowlton Mansion in Philadelphia, PA.

    Cocktail Hour and Reception to follow.

    We ask for guests to budget time to arrive to the venue earlier than the 4:30pm start time.

  • We are planning for the ceremony to be held outside under the stone pergola, assuming the weather holds. If the weather is rainy, the ceremony will take place in the Carriage House, also on the Knowlton Mansion grounds.

    October can be unpredictable in its weather, so keep an eye on the forecast and be prepared to dress appropriately.

    Because the pergola seating is outside on the grass, we would recommend bringing a flat pair of shoes to wear while outside (you can change into dressier shoes later if you’d like!)

  • We are working closely with our caterer to ensure all our guests can have a safe and delicious meal but we need your help!

  • Children are welcome, but we ask that parents supervise them at all times as Knowlton Mansion has several flights of steep stairs, a lot of antiques, and plenty of places for littles to get into mischief.

  • Because of space limitations, we can only accommodate guests specifically listed on your invitation. Please refer to your invitation or the RSVP form for further guidance.

  • Knowlton Mansion has plenty of parking space on their grounds (about 150 spaces!). There will definitely be a parking spot for your vehicle if you’re planning on driving to the venue.

  • We hope to be able to provide shuttle service or rideshare vouchers to guests staying in hotels that we have room blocks in.

    Please indicate on your RSVP whether you will need transportation and which hotel you have booked.
